Day 54 – Vietnamese Hair Shampoo in Ninh Binh

I was having a bad hair day today, so having passed many massage places mentioning hair shampoo I thought I’d give the experience a whirl. Turned out to be far more than just a shampoo and blow dry!

It’s a “buffet” of relaxation, including shampoo, deep scalp massage and a facial over the course of an hour. I also chose an add-on of shoulder and neck massage.

The facial was a delight with all the usual aspects included and a face mask was popped on while my hair and head got the next lot of attention. The scalp massage was thorough and relaxing with herbal products used. I did wonder if a blow dry would be included but I need not have feared. The whole experience was followed by a blow dry and application of nourishing oil – fantastic! All for $18 (I did also leave a tip as it was sooo good).

Another of the ‘great things’ to see in China, the Terracotta Warriors close to Xi’an. These are one more of those man-made creations you can’t really grasp the size of, or understand the time taken to create these warriors, until you’re there to see it with your own eyes. The detail in each warrior is...
