Who are the Life Unclocked Travellers?

Welcome to our travels which we see as our life no longer attached to a time clock; Life Unclocked.

Our adventures have taken us across continents, through bustling cities and tranquil countryside alike. With each destination, we’ve come to appreciate not just the places we see, but the experiences that linger — the aroma when walking through fresh food markets, the hustle and bustle of Tokyo, or the laughter shared over a steaming bowl of pho in Saigon.

We’re Nick and Wendy, travel lovers who carefully plan our trips. While we used to pack in as much as possible, now, free from jobs and family schedules, we’re looking forward to exploring at a slower pace.

Freed from the pressures of deadlines, we relish mornings that unfold slowly—a cup of coffee on a quiet balcony, the sunrise painting rooftops in hues of gold, the gentle rhythms of unfamiliar streets guiding our footsteps toward new discoveries. Each day, unbound by routine, offers the chance to connect more deeply with the world around us and with each other, finding joy in spontaneous detours and the simple pleasures that come with a life lived at our own pace.

Today we headed north of Beijing to the Olympic Park, and to see the bird’s nest for real. Before we got that far though we spotted the Olympic Tower, it’s hugely tall. This is another attraction in Beijing/China where you need tickets to get in, and a passport. Passport not a problem, we carry them...

I was a little nervous about using HK Airlines after reading the Tripadvisor reviews so having now had the experience here’s my pros and cons: Pros Cons In summary, wouldn’t hesitate to use this airline again given value for money when on a budget....

One of the big draw cards in Shanghai is The Bund when it’s lit up at night time. It ends up, like many other tourist attractions we’ve seen in China, an absolutely sardine can packed with everyone coming to see the sights. The Bund runs along the Huangpu River, along a spot which on the...

Landed in Hanoi after a pleasant 2hr flight with Vietnam Airlines from Bangkok, they even managed a meal service in that time. On landing we made our way to the agreed meeting point to find our free (thank you Booking.com genius reward 😀) ride to Hanoi Old Quarter. Some crazy traffic meant this relatively short...
