Hua Hin also has a good number of night markets. Any day of the week in the evening you can find at least one market. Like we found in Taipei, one market ends up looking like another market, same foods, same souvenirs, elephant pants, and tourists. The Tamarind and Cicada Markets were just a short scooter ride down from our hotel, and were probably the best two markets we visited while we were in Hua Hin.
Tamarind market has a lot of food, and very good seating facing onto a stage with singers. The market is nice and clean and the tables are cleared down and kept clear. The entertainers on the nights we visited were very good, and many people were just sat with food and drink taking in the warm night and good entertainment. The Cicada Market was similar although they had more shopping for souvenirs. They also appeared to have a food system that worked off coupons rather than cash. We’re not to sure how all that worked as we ate at Tamarind Market. The entertainment area is more set out to just listen to the music, rather than at Tamarind where the tables are for food and drink.
